Dearest one, hello. <3
I was wrestling with some of my limiting beliefs the other day. Gosh, some of them can be so engrained eh? ‘I’m not beautiful enough to be loved’ is one of mine. :(
It’s a debilitating limiting belief and I’ve worked with it/ on it/ sat with it compassionately/ looked at it/ understood it for many years. And though the belief doesn’t have as much hold over me anymore, once in while it resurfaces with a vengeance!
When that happens, I mostly try to gently sit with my experience, warts, dark feelings, sadness, grief and all.
And usually, the feelings then move through me and move on fairly quickly (yay). Sometimes I resist and oh boy, dem demons like to taunt me when I do! ;)
Last week, when I was working on my Ever After lesson, I went deep on this topic, read about it here.
Anyhoo, I thought I’d share with you in my love note series how I like to work on limiting beliefs and transform them in to liberating beliefs (much more fun thinkie thoughts to have than the dark icky ones I tell ya!)
What limiting beliefs hold you back in life?
Do yours sound anything like this? ->
I am not good enough.
I am too loud/ too much.
I’m not worthy.
I don’t matter.
I’m not beautiful.
I’m not smart enough.
I can never provide for myself.
I can’t do this.
Do you find that these thoughts can be demotivating, paralysing and even devastating?
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if instead, you had liberating beliefs? Like:
I am good enough.
I am perfect as I am.
I am worthy.
I matter.
I’m smart.
I can provide for myself.
I can do this.
You know, our thoughts are just our thoughts.
No more, no less. And they can be changed.
If you want to learn to transform some of your limiting beliefs into liberating beliefs, I have a free meditation for you below and a supporting PDF too! :) Hope it helps, from my heart to yours. <3 You deserve so much more than the limits you set yourself!!
