IMG_1651Abracadabra ziggidy zoo, ala kazam, bippity boppity BOO; iiiiiit’s BLOG HOP & Give Away Tiiiiime! :) Weeeee! :)

Soooo, not long to go until Ever After 2017, my newest collaborative fairy-tale course will go on sale (17th May)! But before it does, we like to basically throw a mahoosive give-away arty blog hop party! :D It involves dancing singing, eating lots of muffins and singing Disney songs together (♫♪ under the sea … under the sea ♫♪ a dream is a wish … your heart makes ♪♫)! ;)

If you’re new to me and the blog, let me tell you a little about Ever After:

Ever After is my newest collaborative course! We ran it for the first time last year and it was a  great success! It is a rather magical course because it has a ‘Fairytale Theme’ AND a in the second (full) package we focus  on style development too! I’ve been running art courses for so many years now and really wanted to finally offer an in depth course where students could focus on developing their own style!! (The question: “how do you develop your own style” is the top nr 1 most frequently asked question in my inbox!). It will run over 4 months, starting July 1st.

If you’re not ready for style development yet then you can just buy the 1st package on its own which simply is an awesome mixed media art class with a fairytale theme taught by some of your most favourite artists and fabulous teachers in our beautiful mixed media community! Each teacher has chosen a fairytale and will let their fairytale (or myth/ magical story) inspire their lesson). I’m excited to let you know who will be involved today! We will let the fairy tales inspire our paintings and our story telling. The messages and symbolism of these tales and myths can help us develop our own voice, to be truer to ourselves and creative story telling abilities, I’m so excited to share the beautiful lessons with you! :)

elsaducklowres-wm

Additionally we’ll look at how we can start telling new and different stories based on the original fairy tales (eg: how about Snow White saves the prince instead?) Or how about Alice on a motorcycle? How about twisting and changing the fairy tales so that your wish comes true? The options are endless and  super super fun!! :)

The style development segment is going to be so full of information, hints and tips, special assignments, a big juicy workbook, informative videos, demonstrations on how to derive inspiration and then take ideas to develop your style, self discovery (style development is all about getting to know yourself and telling the story of YOU, you know) and so much more. I’m super excited about this course – students too LOVED it last year! :)

I hope you’ll join this course. It’s suitable for beginners and the more experienced! I’ve been running many courses since late 2008 and have made MANY students happy over the years! :) Read all the love, positive feedback and testimonials on THIS PAGE.

  1. Hi Tamara thank you for this opportunity!! My favorite tale is Pinocchio, a wood puppet transformed by the Fata Turchina in a child and that for his bad attitude to lie will have a lot of adventures! When I was little I knew the story at one’s fingertips!! I share your post on my fb page.

  2. Well, it’s hard to narrow it down to one fairy tale, and you mentioning myths just opened a whole other bag of lovely memories for me. :) I adore Greek mythology. But I suppose I’ll go with a childhood favorite of mine, Cinderella. Love and acceptance is a crucial need in all our lives and this tale certainly illustrates its importance. :)

    1. Sandra…my maiden name is Dawkins…I live in the US. I too am interested in art. Interesting I think. I’d love to hear from you. My name is Nancy.

  3. I grew up watching Disney and have a great love for fairy tales and it is hard to choose just one…But I do have a soft spot for Snow White. I remember reading this story over and over as a child and watching the Disney movie as well. I have really enjoyed the re-telling of this tale on “Once Upon A Time”, as Snow White becomes Snow, and gets a chance to be a pretty kick-ass rebel!! But always on the side of good!!

  4. May favorite fairytale is Sleeping Beauty. Since I was a child & saw the first movie I loved her. And that was a long time ago. My favorite part of the movie was where see is walking through the forest barefoot & of course singing with & to the animals. To me she was the most beautiful then in her peasant dress…She was always so kind and loving.

  5. I joined Ever After last year and it was so much fun! It’s so hard for me to choose! I really enjoyed ‘sword in the stone’ from Disney. My favourite magical creature is a unicorn!

  6. I missed Everafter last year and am so, so excited for it this year! My fave fairytale is “The Little Mermaid”. Thank you so much for this chance to win a spot! So exciting! Looks amazing!!!!

  7. My favourite fairy tale is The Wizard of Oz. So many wonderful lessons in it especially the idea that we have the power within us to make the changes we need. Thanks for the opportunity to win a spot. Hugs Tam!

  8. So many to choose a favourite but Snow White is one that stands out. So many ideas to paint in this fairy tale. This will be fun and wonderful to win!?

  9. My favorite fairy tale from my childhood was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. But now as an adult I love Beauty and the Beast! I’d love to play with these types of fairy tale art and would love to learn to create my own style. My own style is something I’m searching for but has yet eluded me! lol

  10. It has been a longtime since I have thought about fairy tales. As a child I always loved the Emperor’s New Clothes. Such a good message and I love the idea of this pompous man walking around in his birthday suit!

  11. I think Sleeping Beauty because when I was a little girl I had a Disney Read-a-Long record of Sleeping Beauty (when tinker bell rings her tiny little bell like this “ting a ling a ling”, turn the page”) Ha! I loved it!!!

  12. Hi Tamara, I took EA 2016 and loved every minute of it. To take it again would be such a blessing for me…I like the Princess and the Pea, that would be interesting I though about it last year.

  13. Oh my, is there something wrong with me?! I don’t have a favorite! I guess that means I must REALLY need this course! I know I want to work on style development – especially since I seem to work in two very opposite styles, depending on my mood ( was the book/movie “Sybil” based on a fairy tale? LOL)

  14. Hi Tam…what a great chance. ..my favourite fairy tale, if we ca call it so is Alice in Wonderland…I love the ‘crazy’ characters!! ❤

  15. I did the Ever After course in 2016 and loved it. I still have some lessons to complete. Is this a continuation of 2016 or the same fairytales again? I would love to do it again with other fairytales including Cinderella or Rapunzel which are my faves.

    1. @Kate H – hello! the style development content that I created will be the same, but all fairy tales will be new and the new teachers will also submit videos where they discuss their views on style development content, so lots of new content. <3

      1. @Tam. That’s great news! I did the style dev, and heartily recommend it to everyone. Would love to do Ever After the sequel this year then.:-)
BTW: Happy Birthday! I love that you sprayed your hair sparkly..I crimped mine for my birthday! hehe #nevertooold!

  16. Thank you so much for the chance to win a spot in this years ever after. I did last years and learnt so much. My favourite fairy tale is The ugly duckling. There is too much judgement in the world today so I think the ugly duckling had a lovely message to it.

  17. I love Ever After!! My favourite traditional fairytale is the little mermaid (I live just over the bridge from Denmark and her little statue). However, my all-time favourite is the Tale of the Three Brothers – the fairytale within Harry Potter <3

  18. Hi Tamara, I love them all, but I always have a soft spot for the princess and the pea, when I was young my mum called me princess, so I thought I’d try find out if I really was a princess . It didn’t work out when much later on my mum was changing the bedding and found a nasty moldy mush under my mattress. I had put a bag of frozen peas under my mattress instead, I never felt the peas so I knew I wasn’t a real princess. Apart from to my mum lol

    1. Oh Lou! You are a kindred soul! Though the hidden food I left was behind the refrigerator, lol! I had to sit at table until I cleaned my plate. I’d sit for hours, pushing around awful bits of brussel sprouts, or hominy… & other yucky stuff. Mom wasn’t much of a cook, & I was a tiny thing with little appetite anyway. But I was determined to be true to myself and also devious. The adults would lose interest in me & become engrossed in their news and politics on TV; when I saw my chance, I’d quickly wrap the horrid stuff in my napkin, dart into the kitchen & toss it behind the refrigerator. I must have had to climb onto to a chair to reach over the counter for that toss! It’s been over 60 years, and I still believe I’m worthy of princess food. No nasty soggy boiled stuff for me!
As a child, fairy tales were my favorites, no matter what the theme. In my book collections the fairy tale book was always my go-to and I’d search out every fairy story book I could find in each school I attended. Seems like Princess & the Pea was the one I connected to most, but Babba Yagga house that stood & turned on chicken legs was deliciously terriheart; giant fish that swallowed strange things like people and villages were full of serious lessons I took to heart. And like Peter, I never thought I’d grow up, prefering instead to fly with Tinkerbell!

  19. You got Stephen Larson to join! Awesome. I thought he’d be a great match! Favorite fairy tale — I love the Once Upon a Time version of fairy tales —strong female leads who kick bootie (and sometimes kick our bootie back)

  20. I’m a fantasy-fairy tale geek, don’t know which one I would say is my favourite…. I’d probably say the little mermaid as I love mermaids

  21. Really interested in the style development portion……and doing the fairy tales would be fun….my fav kinda like them all, but I’ll choose Jack and the Beanstalk……

  22. So excited for a chance to win this class. I so wanted to do last years and couldn’t . Alice in Wonderland is my favorite followed closely by Snow White. So many delightful characters in each story♥
    Thanks AGAIN!
    Carol

  23. My favorite fairy tale has always been Cinderella. I love that she never gives up, and strives to find happiness regardless of the negativity that surrounds her…it’s also great that she has a guardian who helps her find her dream, even if it seems it will only last until midnight. ❤️

  24. Malificent all the way! My grandma always read it to me when I was little, then I read it to my kids, and I hope to read it my grandchildren one day :)

  25. so glad it’s back! shared on twitter, already subscribed to you :-D
and my fave would have to be Red Riding hood, although if I could pick a recent fairy tale, it would have to be the Frozen story line. I just love Elsa’s character!

  26. I love all fairytales; especially foreign ones like the Persian or Chinese and Greek mythology. I totally love tales about elves and dragons.

  27. Long before it became a Disney film my favorite fairy tale has been Beauty and the Beast. I always loved the way they had to rely on each other’s strengths of character to get through….instead of looks …and she was as strong as him …she was the savior not him ….

  28. My favorite fairy tale is Beauty and the Beast. (Signed up to email using a different email address, hope that is okay, and shared on FB using my real name, not my gmail name. All of these aliases, you’d think I was an international spy!)

  29. Such a great course. My favorite fairy tail is Verde Prato. I mean what’s not to love about a butt naked Prince running though a glass tunnel to see you each night!

  30. Tam, you are such a gift to the world!!! It would be an AMAZING birthday gift :) to win a spot in the Ever After 2017 course…since I didn’t grow up with fairy tales it was a very enjoyable journey to see and hear and read everyone’s perceptions on each teacher’s offerings last year! I learned sooooo much! Having said that, if I don’t win, I will DEFINATELY be signing up again this year!! :):):) Can’t wait!! To choose a fav it would have to Beauty and the Beast!

  31. Hi Tam!! I enjoy your courses sooo much!! You are really an inspiration!! My favourite fairytale is Alice in wonderland, but I think i love most of the fairy tales :)

  32. You are so generous to offer this for your birthday! Happy Birthday, Tam! My daughter has been obsessed with Moana and has pulled me in with her. So many wonderful characters in the movie. Currently I’d say this is my favorite.

  33. I’d choose them all if I could :) but Alice in Wonderland would probably come out tops every time – I can’t wait for this course xxx

  34. I’m so excited to be part of this for the first time this year. I am at a point in my art where style development is very important, so I am very much looking forward it. I’m from Germany, so I grew up with all of the fairytales. The Frog Prince is one of my favorites. Also, der Rattenfaenger von Hameln (Pied Piper of Hamelin).

  35. Cinderella is my favorite fairytale because it shows, that though you may not look like a princess on the outside inside lies a queen.

  36. One of my favorite fairy tales would be Alice in Wonderland….it reminds me of my own real life…many of the charecters remind me of people I know. My art studio is my “rabbit hole” where all the fantasy begins.

  37. Just love Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella to this day I remember we had the old 33 style LP’s and story book with all the song words. Sadly the were stolen when when we lived in Portobello in Edinburgh but I have never forgotten dancing round the living room and singing with my mum.

  38. Oh, this is exciting! My favorite fairy tale is “Rapunzel”. I’ve loved it since I was a little girl. I always wanted long hair like hers. I think it has something to do with how innocence and love can prevail, in the end, despite the trials and suffering one must go through in life.

  39. Happy Birthday Tamara and thank you for the opportunity to win!!
My childhood started in Russia and I was reading a lot when I was a child. Similar to The wizard of Oz, there’s a russian version to this story called The Wizard of the Emerald City written by Alexander Volkov. There are 5 sequels to the first story and I love them all!!!

  40. All these artists are so inspiring! My favorite is the “Old Man and the Bluebird” from China. It’s the story an old man who goes for a walk in his expansive gardens everyday and a bluebird teaches him wisdom about his greed and his ability to share the beauty of his garden with others. (Including animals, which in this story, he has also forbidden…so the bluebird is basically ‘trespassing’ in order to talk to the old man).

  41. The stories / myths about Avalon are my all time favorite. And fairytale Cinderella… :)
Thank you for this awesome program!

  42. my favorite fairy tale/story is ‘the velveteen rabbit’ followed closely by ‘alice in wonderland’. i love your newsletter and always look forward to it’s arrival.

  43. My favorite fairy tale is from a Fairy Tale collection book I had as a child. It’s called The White Cat. A prince is asked to go on three quests to take his father’s place as king. He winds up at a strange castle where all the people have been turned to cats thanks to a witch’s curse. They are ruled by a lovely white cat who wears gorgeous outfits. She helps the prince with his quests and he falls in love with her.

  44. My favorite fairytale is ‘Hans en Grietje’ (Hansel and Gretel) because my parents are called Hans and Grietje (dutch). That is no joke :-). Lucky for me my parents weren’t brother and sister. That would be too weird… I also love the little candy house in this fairytale.

  45. My favorite fairy tales in Little Red Riding Hood, and I love wolves, who are not evil, and yet love the archetypal energies surrounding these fairly tales.

  46. Yippyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy I’m in… shared on facebook ,.. I love allllll the fairy tales… they always takes me to a magical world, sometimes I wish that I can stay there!!! ….thank you for this beautiful opportunity

  47. Let’s see – my favorite fairy tale is Cinderella. But not the Disney version. The Ever After movie version. Love her strength, courage, and compassion despite it all. Oh goodness….I am already inspired! Off to paint!! :-)

  48. I would love to win a spot in this class… Omg, all the amazing teachers. ❤️ And I have to say my favorite fairy tale is Sleeping Beauty. Lucky thing. I’d say that’s a fairy tale… to be beautiful and to sleep. ;)

  49. Wow, thank you for this opportunity! I am soooo loving Lifebook and learning from you. I’m already on the newsletter and shared this on Facebook (love the picture that comes up).
My favourite fairy tale is Mother Holle or variations of it.

  50. Not sure my first comment went through…so here it is (again)…Very hard for me to choose, but if i had to do so, I would choose Peter Pan :). Thanks for the chance to win this class. I enjoyed Ever After 2016 immensely!!!

  51. Yay!!! I’m so excited I shared and my favorite fairytales are the the little Mermaid and little red riding hood. It hard to choose cause there are so many bur those are my top two. :)

  52. My favourite fairy tale is Cinderella. Love A rags to riches tale. However, Cindy doesn’t need a prince to develop her life. She can do this herself. The prince could always be a bonus though!

  53. I AM OVER THE MOON that EVER AFTER is back!!! I love being introduced to new stories and re-imagining old. My favorite fairy tale would have to be Cinderella. I love the underdog stories and that true heart ALWAYS prevails! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  54. I LOVE mermaids, so the Little Mermaid is my favorite!! However, I have a 5 year old daughter that loves all fairies and princesses and all fantasy characters!! LOL I would love to learn how to draw/paint these so I can share it with her!

  55. Helloooo all the way from The Bronx, in New York! I am a new fan. Fell in love immediately with your work, and hope to have you as a new friend in my head. Lol My favorite would have to be Little Mermaid. Loved it when it came out..and sang “Part of your world” to my children to calm them down when they were little. Thank you for a chance at winning a spot. ?

  56. I am doing Life Book for the first time. I love it! Am hoping to do Ever After with my new Daughter-in-Love! One favorite fairy tale, Rose White and Rose Red.

  57. One of my favorites is Peter pan because I love fairies..and I do believe on them!!thats an amazing girf Tam! Win or not I.will join the course!

  58. I am a fan of so many fairy tales it is hard to pick a favorite! there is a book I read as a child and cannot remember the title! but in essence it was of a boy who figured out if he pierced the heart of his stuffed animals they would become real! and they had wonderful adventures! I want to read again as an adult but cannot remember the title!

  59. Hey there Little Red Riding Hood,
    You sure are looking good.
    You’re everything a big bad wolf could want. ~ Sam The Sham&Pharaohs :) :)

    This course sounds yummy!!

  60. My Favorite is Alice in Wonderland because I love adventure! I joined last year!! I’d love to win a spot this year!! Looks like new artist to learn from!! I’m already signed up on your newsletter, I will share on FB now.
    Thanks!! I love your work!

  61. How wonderful! I love the little prince, my daughter loves rapunzle – we are both obsessed with fairies unicorns and rainbows! I’m already signed up to your newsletter and will share away
Happily! Thank you! Happy Beltane! ???

  62. I did the first ever after course which I loved to bits. I loved all the characters and I would love to see the princess and the pea. The one with the pea placed under a pile of mattresses to test that she is indeed a real princess. In your wonderful style that would be wonderful. X

  63. It’s hard to pick just one. I loved Cinderella and Snow White and Thumbelina. Also the Ugly Duckling and The Wild Swans. So excited about this course!

  64. I like almost all fairytales, if I had to name my favorites it will be ‘Het meisje met de zwavelstokjes’ (I think they said it is ‘girl with the matchbox’ in English)
And I totally love Harry Potter and everything that has to do with that lik Fantastic beasts…I loved all the animals and the Mooncalfs especially ♥

  65. I would so love to take the Ever After class. I’ve been wanting to for so long. I love the art work that I’ve seen by everyone taking the previous classes. Momotaro (The Peach Boy) is one of my favourite stories from my childhood.

  66. Wohoo, so excited about the new Ever After teacher line up!? My favourite fairytale is The princess on the pea – I still have my old book with beautiful illustration. And Arabian Nights.

  67. I have seen so many wonderful projects from this class and they look amazing. I hope I can join in this year, I’ve always loved a good fairy tale – or just anything to do with fairies! As much as I would enjoy winning a spot, I don’t know how to “share” things on Instagram and I don’t use Facebook (it just felt right to me to mention that).

  68. Not your typical “fairy” tale, but The Wizard of Oz…I love Dorothy. If that doesn’t work, then Cinderella. I always was so elated when she had control over her mean mother and step sisters. Thanks for the chance to win.

  69. Shared on FB and I have received your newsletter for years. Love what you do. :-)

This class looks so amazing. Thanks for the opportunity to gain a spot. Got my fingers crossed.

My favorites change moment by moment, but I love the feminist version of the Persephone story where she’s not abducted by her husband, but willingly decides to spend half the year in the Underworld for personal growth. I also love the Eros and Psyche myth because I like the lesson of learning to love people underneath the mask or front they present to the world. :-)

  70. Loved Ever After 2016 … would love to take part in Ever After 2017. The classes made me smile. Fav fairy tale is Cinderella … would love to see everyone have a fairy tale ending as in this one!

  71. The line up looks fantastic. It would be amazing to win a place…..I’m trying to pick a favourite fairy tale….it’s kind of hard….I remember listening to a tape (yes a cassette) of the snow queen soooooo many times I think my dad hid it to get a break :0D I do love Celtic myths and stories currently and on my book shelf is a book of fairy stories form when I was young and I remember enjoying Rumplestiltskin, Snow White and Rose Red and Thumbelina.

  72. I am so excited for this second year of Ever After. I love myths of Avalon and other medieval myth. Thank you for this opportunity.

  73. My fave is beauty and the beast which we already did. But I was surprised to learn how many more fairytales are out there that I had not heard of, I.e., the handless maiden. I can’t wait to see what comes up this year!!!

  74. I’m so excited for this. I tell my little girl a fairy tale every night about some bunnies who cannot have a child of their own and then they adopt. My daughter is adopted and it’s a great way to introduce the idea to her while she’s little. She might not get it yet but she knows it word for word.

  75. I simply adore Beauty and the Beast! I’m a complete bookworm and I love animals so the theme is perfect. But I also love the crazy world of Alice in Wonderland too!

  76. I’m not sure if I could pick a favorite, as a child I loved Cinderella, but because of my children, I love The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast. I’d sure love to win a spot!

  77. Who could ever pick a favorite fairy tale? I am not sure that I can, as I think of one another pops into my imagination. Snow White, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Little Red Riding Hood. So many favorites! I also think of characters like Pippi Longstockings!

  78. Wow, hard to pick a favorite fairy tale. I have so many. I do love, Hansel and Gretel though. Thank you for the opportunity to snag a spot. Good luck to all.

  79. I love Puff the Magic ? Dragon. Thanks for the chance to win a spot in the new Ever After 2017 Tam. I loved last year’s so much I’m so excited ????

  80. My favourite is Peter Pan, especially as the author J M Barrie left the copyright of the book to Great Ormond Children’s Hopsital. For me it was really a magical place to stay , even though I was ill, I used to think I could see fairy lights when I looked out of the window at night, and the giant cuddly toys.I didn’t want to come home .that was 53 years ago too.
    Other favourite Narnia collection :)

  81. Alice in Wonderland . . . maybe the Cheshire Cat – because a grin without a cat . . or Caterpillar “Who Are YOU?” – well, I Know YOU are Fabulous and excel in all things Awesome Glittery and Good – or . . . there are so many lovely ideas . . . in so many lovely places . . . Thank you for offering Ever After Again. In fact, Thank You for ALL YOUR Doing. (It’s true. you’ll always be young) – love & love, -g-

  82. I really don’t have a favourite fairy tale but anything from the Grimms Brothers is amazing… I would love to win one of these spots for my teenage daughter. Her passion right now is art and I have bought one of Tam’s courses for her to do and she loved it. This would make a perfect birthday gift for her!!

  83. I have many favorite stories. I grew up surrounded by tales that my grandmother told me. I have a predilection for Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, the beautiful and the beast and little star of gold. Also by the tales about the mythological beings that my grandmother told me (goblins, xanas, ñuberu, güestía, diañu burlón …). All of them made me grow up between magic and great adventures.

  84. My favorite Fairy Tale (although I do still believe in it….so is it really a fairy tale?!! :-D ) is Peter Pan. I still remember not wanting to go to bed after watching Peter Pan because I just knew they were going to come and take me to Neverland!! I got up in the middle of the night and just sat at the window searching for Tinker Bell….I’m still waiting!! LOL

  85. Oh this class sounds so lovely! My favourite fairy tale is beauty and the beast…i had a hardback version of this story when i was little and can always remember how slightly scared i was of the beast in a good way? Books were a huge deal for me growing up…total escapism! So excited you have Danita on board! Danitas art reminds me of fairy tales! Good luck everyone…I do have everything possible crossed ♡ much love ♡

  86. I have two favorite fairy tales: Alice in Wonderland (I was fascinated by the ” mixed-up-ness-illogical-is-logical) and Sleeping Beauty (a prince whose true love kiss could wake up the almost dead? Wow, that must be some kiss, sigh.) LOL! Thank you for allowing a chance to win a spot!

  87. Thank you for the opportunity to win a spot on this course. I am drawn to fairy tales and myths a lot in my art but I think the one that I cycle back to most often (and which has even cropped up in my response to Life Book lessons a few times) is Little Red Riding Hood. There is something about the duality of the wolf and little girl, the darkness of the wolf and woods against the bright red of hood and blood, and the primal nature of it that must really appeal to me.

  88. My favorite fairy tale/myth right now is actually the Moana story. And my kids have learned more about the actual Polynesian story behind the Disney version. I find the original myths fascinating…

  89. I LOVE the Little Match Girl. She uses up all of her matches so she can keep seeing the beautiful visions and then she gets to go to Heaven! Thumbelina is a favorite too…….As a child I had a Thumbelina doll but my sister dropped her out of our fourth story apartment window in New York. I was devastated!!!! Thank you Tam, for all you do and who you are!!

  90. Alice in WOnderland I think I like the best. There are so many themes touched upon & a ton of characters and personalities. It’s an artists dream to be able to interpret the characters in new ways.

  91. My favorite fairy tale is THE NEVER ENDING STORY. Thank you for the opportunity to join EVER AFTER 2017. I love all of you. Sincerely, Marilyn Powell

  92. I love all fairytales, it is hard to choose one. But if I have to, it is ‘meisje met de zwavelstokjes’ (no idea how it is called in English). Also love Pinokkio! And Rapunzel. Too many!!! Thanks Tam, for the chance to win a spot!

  93. I have to say I LOVE Fairytales! I’ve read them all to my girls and now I read them to my granddaughter. I can’t just pick one favorite fairytale because each one teaches an important lesson. My daughter’s each have a favorite that was read to them over and over so maybe those three would be the top of the list, Hansel and Gretel, Beauty and the Beast, and Cinderella. Thank you so much for the chance to win a spot. I would love to be in this class.

  94. Hi Tamara. I have taken your lifebook courses for the last three years and I have purchased a few of your courses. You are an inspiration to this artistic introvert. I love all the fairy tale characters. Can I say a book made into a movie instead. Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Can not get enough of this story. Thanks for your inspiration

  95. Oh this is so exciting! I loved the first class and cannot wait to dive into the second one! So, for my favorite fairy tale, perhaps Snow White. I love the drama between her fair skin and dark hair. Such great art to be made from the tale!

  96. Favourite fairy tale has to be Goldilocks because any girl that waltzes into a cottage, makes herself at home and doesn’t care really has a sassy attitude. Have to admire her confidence! post shared and totally signed into the newsletter! Looking forward to Every After all over again!

  97. I think The Wizard of Oz qualifies as a fairytale – there truly is no place like home! I have a few favorites but I’ve been working with this one lately!! Shared the live feed, already get the newsletter & shared blog!! Thanks, Tam!! WONDERFUL to see you today!! Happy Birthday!!!

  98. Would be a great treat for my 50th at the end of the month ! I like the lesser known tales – the white snake is a good Grimm – read it here -http://www.surlalunefairytales.com/authors/grimms/17whitesnake.html
Got some great ideas bumbling about in my head already – can’t wait to put a Stevie twist on some great myths and tales.

  99. My favorite fairy tale is Sleeping Beauty…primarily because of my all-time favorite villain, The Mistress of All Evil, Maleficent! I have a collection of Disney villains, but Maleficent, poor misunderstood soul that she is, is the best! I’d love to win a spot in the Ever After classroom! Thanks for the opportunity, Tam! I’ve signed up for the newsletter and shared to Facebook.

  100. I’ve always been fascinated with the stories told by “Native American” people, those who lived here long before my ancestors did. I don’t know of a specific one at the moment, but wouldn’t it be awesome to Learn from a creative teacher from the Cherokee or Navajo or Sioux or any other tribes here?

  101. How exciting! Favorites are hard because there are so many excellent choices…I heard Harry Potter is included, and that is definitely a favorite!

  102. Alice! She is my favourite. The fact that the stories were written in the next village from me, makes me feel we have such a connection. Always loved her since being a child to now.
I adore stories be it the scary Grimm tales to Disney. I love the Ever After theme and crossing my fingers as I would really enjoy this course, afterall I am a fairy Princess but shhhh don’t tell everyone ? xx ?✨?✨?

  103. What a great opportunity to win a chance at Everafter 2017. Thank you for your generosity. Pinnochio is my favorite store. An toy that becomes a boy with love of a good father with a kick of morality thrown in.

  104. Thank you so much for this opportunity Tam!! I love your work and all the artists you bring to your programs! It’s hard to pick one fairy tale that I love the most but probably Alice in Wonderland followed by The Little Mermaid. Much Love!

  105. Maybe not a fairytale, but my favorite myth is Persephone and Hades and I’m so excited to see an amazing artist covering it this year. Really want to participate!! Thank you!

  106. My favourite Fairy Tale story is the Little Mermaid. Basically because she get’s to swim in the beautiful ocean with all the fabulous sea creatures like Dolphins and Whales. I wish!

  107. ”The Bee and the Orange Tree” and ”Pinocchio” are some of my favourites, but my all time favourite would have to be ”Cinderella”. Thankyou for the chance of a lifetime to win a spot in ”Éver after”, Most of my favourite artists teach in this course and I would love to be able to join in on the fun.

  108. Tam,
I don’t have a facebook or any other social account, but I would love to enter to win a spot in Ever After. If I do win, my favorite fariy tale will be “The old lady and the magic paint brush”. Happy Birthday!!

  109. Tamara, thank you so much for your generosity! I would be incredibly blessed to win this class. My favorite fairy tale/magical story would have to be The Wizard of Oz. I love how Dorothy gains new friends along her path and they all help each other. We need friends and family members to find our “true home” in this world.

  110. Thank you so much for a chance to win. I didn’t have a chance to join the last Ever After. Sounds really exciting and an amazing course and I really do need the advice to find my own style! One of my favorite Fairy Tales is Rapunzel

  111. I’ve never followed the norm- so mine has no magical powers except those of loss, hope and love. Heidi is the most powerful story I read as a child…. Thanks for your talent and your heart. I’m new to the wonders of you.Happy Birthday!

  112. I would truly love an opportunity to do some magical art!! My favourite is “A tale as old as Time” – Beauty and the Beast. I love that story, a tale of how inner beauty is so much more magical than outer beauty. I also adore the Snow Queen. Spent many hours reading and re-reading it as a child. That story tonne, that true friendship/love can never be broken no matter what happens..

  113. My favorite fairy tale is Snow White. I love that all the dwarfs adore her, and I work in an environment with all men and it’s like that..hahah..it is like have 110 brothers.

  114. So many possibilities in the Ever After. Almost any story that creates a sense of wonder for me is a favorite, a bit of the feeling of being in the world of the tale…As a child my dad would tell use his own version of Rapunzel as a bedtime story. I am sure that Dad was some of the magic.

  115. Really looking forward to the style development portion. I am loving my second year of Life Book, but still trying to find my own style. My favorite fairy tale is Wizard of Oz.??

  116. My favorite would have to be King Arthur and the knights of the round table. Loved Ever After last year looking forward to this year.

  117. Beauty and the Beast – brave girl, wants something more, loves books, kind, compassionate, caring, capable of loving deeply, able to look beyond appearances to see the truth. What’s not to love?!

  118. I’m so excited!! can wait to sign up! Hope I win a spot though. I love so many fairy tales that it’s hard to pin one down as my favorite. I love Greek Mythology and intrigued by the Pleiades Myth (the seven sisters). When I was a little girl I use to love the story of Snow White.
Thank you Tam for this opportunity and Good Luck everyone!! P.S. Shared on FB

  119. Shared on.FB. It would be Cinderella…my friends and family call me the Reverse Cinderella. I would love to be swept away by the prince to his castle..I would also love a spot in Ever After 2017. I loved EA 2016 but missed the end as my son fell into a coma and passed 7 weeks later..I haven’t picked up a paintbrush since but this is giving me something to look forward to besides crying and missing my baby boy.

  120. Oh wauw! What a great opporunity! :) I sooooo loved listening to fairytales as a child and being Danish we always had Hans Christian Andersens fairytales read out aloud in kindergarden and school. I really felt so sad and bad for the ugly duckling but love how he turns into a beautiful swan in the end. I like Cinderella too – those two tales are very similar :)
Thank you so much for sharing your creative gift with the world and help us to spark that gift of our own. Bless you!

  121. There is something about Alice. Whether it is the weirdness of Wonderland, or her spunky demeanor (as shown in the Tim Burton movies), I’m not sure. I just know that she holds a special place in my heart, and in my head. I even bought one of my dolls an Alice outfit.

  122. Woehoe! So great that Ever After is starting again this year!! I loved it last year! My fave fairytale? I looove Pinocchio! :) But there are so many, and with my little girl turning two last weekend, we will be more and more reading books and fairytales, love that!!! :D Thanks, Tam, and all teachers!!!

  123. My favourite is Alice in Wonderland. I love the rich diversity of characters in the book. I would absolutely love to win this. Thank you so much for the opportunity. And Happy Birthday. I hope your day is filled with glitter and sparkles, painted fingers, fabulous food and loads of love.

  124. YAY! I loved this course last year, and I’d love to win a space in the new one! My fav fairytale is The little Mermaid. (Shared on fb, twitter& G+) Thank you so much for the opportunity to win! ❤️❤️❤️

  125. Cinderella (Dance with Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman…is so special, just saw him sing live last month? PS Love your classes, I have just started the first lesson in Lifebook 2017, and can’t wait to finish and share! It would be magical to Win a place in this offering! thank you ever so much?

  126. My favourite fairy tale has always been Beauty and the Beast. <3 I loved the Disney movie when I was a kid. Probably because I could relate to Belle a lot, with her feeling different compared to everyone else (I read a lot and was bullied in school because of it). And also because the moral of the story is that outer beauty isn't the most important thing. :-)

Shared the link on Twitter. :)

  127. OMG I hope I’m not a day late and a dollar short! My fave fairy tale is also Beauty and the Beast but the reason is because I love books as much as Belle. I would be in heaven if I had a huge library in my castle and nothing but time to read.

  128. I have been interested in Red Riding Hood over the last year or so! I have read some rewrites of the story, watched a movie, and have been busy making boards on Pinterest of Red, the wolf and wooded paths :) I have made a bit of my own art related to the story as well. I just adore fairytales and would love a chance to learn from all of these fabulous teachers!

  129. Oh my Gosh. I don’t know how I have missed this. I want to be a part of this so bad. My favorite fairytale is of course Alice in Wonderland.? and Peter Pan. I live in Wonderland and spend every day with my 4 lost boys. Thank you for the opportunity.
Shared on facebook and signed up for newsletter

  130. I just discovered your work & your blog and this class looks amazing!! I love doing surreal art, but I don’t think I’ve ever done any fairytale art. It’s so hard to pick a favorite fairy tale, but i may choose Red Riding Hood.

  131. 1- subscribe to newsletter ✔️
2- share Ever After 2017 on my FB artist page ✔️
    3- comment on blog ✔️
4- last but not least, my favorite fairy tale: The Little Mermaid by far, always will and always has been. LOVE all things magical

Tamara, I really need your help to “let loose” and get out of my head and into my body. I’ve been trying to find my own style for the last two years, but getting nowhere.
    Xxx

  132. Hi Tamara,
I would love to be Queen Valanice from King’s quest. I played all the games when I was a little girl and loved the fact that she is so strong and never gave up! Kinda like you!

  133. This is an amazing opportunity, I’ve recently started to explore my art and I’d love to produce something I’d be brave and proud enough of to show people other than my family and friends. My favourite tale/myth is the story of Blodeuwedd (flower face) from The Mabinogion. The magic and imagery in the tale really fires my imagination.

  134. Hello Tam and a very Happy Birthday to you!!!! I have shared on facebook and joined the email list…and now for my favorite myth in story form…it would have to be The Never Ending Story, all about creating using your imagination! Much Love and Many Blessings

  135. Hi Tam, love your classes. I would have to say my favorite Fairy Tale is Beauty and the Beast. And Snow White.
Thanks for the chance to win. xoxo

  136. MERLIN IS ONE OF THE BEST FAIRY TALE MOVIE EVER!!! PICK ME! PICK ME! PLEASSSSSEEE!!# LOVE YOU AND ALL YOUR PEOPLE TAM LAPORTE! THANKS FOR ALL YOU ARE AND DO. XOXO XOXO MARILYN POWELL

  137. My favorite mythical creature is the Phoenix. I’ve always been fascinated by the fire and rebirth, but as I’ve explored personal growth it’s taken on a deeper meaning in that it’s necessary to sometimes tear down old beliefs and build new ones in order to grow. Necessary for the ego to burn up so the light of the true self can shine through!

  138. Oh, I love so many. I guess my favorite would be (do I have to pick one?)…Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. But the others are all up there as well. I would so love to win a spot in this course. How glorious it would be!!

  139. Hi Tamara! So exciting your doing this course again this year! You have at great line up of artists! I am already on your mail list and have shared your blog post on FB! I love Alice in Wonderland best for the imagination pats! Thanks for having a giveaway ?!

  140. Oh my! Pick 1 fairytale? I think that is impossible for me now that I have started watching the tv show “Once upon a Time”! LOL I would probably have to say from my childhood it would be Cinderella. Or the movie Labyrinth (not sure if that counts as a fairytale?) But I learned many lessons from that movie :)

  141. WOW,,,I WISH TO WIN,,,THIS… EVER AFTER COURSE…. GOING TO BE MAGICAL…MY FAVE FAIRYTALE IS BEAUTY AND THE BEAT…..WHY??? BECAUSE I IN LOVE WITH HIM :) AFTER SAW THE MOVIE.. :)

  142. My favorite Fairy Tale is Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory! I know that many, if not all, of you might not think it qualifies as a fairy tale, but seriously..to be surrounded with all things edible sweetness!! And those oompahloompas!! They can be fairies…just because they don’t have wings, they perform magical musical numbers while they tend to the colorful and delicious candies!!!!
“….I got a golden ticket…I got a golden chance to make my way…”
    Have a GOLDEN day!!

  143. I would, love,to win a,place,in your,Ever After.class, my favourite fairy tale was always Rupuzel as I have always had, long hair, not as long as,Rupunsel’s thou!

  144. My favorite fairy tale is Cinderella!! I’m keeping my fingers crossed hoping to win a spot in this amazing class!!You have helped me so much . I can’t thank you enough for your encouraging words and positive energy!

  145. Everyone, you are in for a real treat. I did Ever After Last Year, and it was amazing. I am still sticking with my favourite fairy tale Red Riding Hood. I love how much she loves her Granny. Good luck everyone you are in for an extroadinary ride into the world of fantasy.

  146. My very favorite fairy tale is an old Norwegian one called “East of the Sun and West of the Moon”. I have loved it since I was a child and first read it. It is related to “Beauty and the Beast” although much more adventurous!

  147. I’m so excited … my favourite story as a child is the wizard of oz …. it inspires imagination, bring colour to my grey days and the story of each character is so inspiring ……. this story also lead me to the amazing story WICKED the story before the wizard of oz , which is the most amazing story I’ve ever heard …

  148. It would be so very incredible nice to win a spot, thank you so much for the change. Art changed me for the better!
I like all storys, but a specially Malificent!

  149. It’s hard to choose just one, but I’ve always loved the Little Mermaid. Believing you can achieve something and then having it happen, is a perfect example of what believing in yourself can do. I also adore Mulan. My youngest daughter is adopted from China and even before we adopted, my older daughter and I were always drawn to that movie. Plus, those two Disney movies are our favorite soundtracks ?

  150. As a child i was never read fairy tales or any books at all to me. I did enjoy reading them to my children very much so though. I think my favorite would be Cinderella ……still looking for my prince charming and would love to live in a big castle with lots of room for friends and family.. thank you for the chance to win. <3

  151. Yay! Thanks for the chance to win a spot :)
My fave character, such a tough questions. I am reading some Piers Anthony to the kidlets again, so I would have to say Bink is one of my faves. He’s humble and good-hearted and a great hero!
    xoxo

  152. Looks like I am not the only one who loves Cinderella! I talk to my friends about your blog all the time…so sharing on my FB is perfect!

  153. Wow Tam! Your energy and inspiration is fantastic! I love the story of Princess Bride – true love and faithfulness and witty. Thank you for the chance to win.

  154. Oh my goodness.
There are so many fairytales that I love!
If I have to try to pick just one it would be Alice in Wonderland.
It reminds me of sitting in the lounge room as a child in front of our old Rank Arena tv and watching the movie with my Mum and brother.
I loved all the magic potions and the weird and wonderful creatures (especially the Cheshire cat :) )
    Happy memories

  155. Hmmm, so may fairy tales. As a child I think my favorite was Sleeping Beauty (loved her fairy Godmothers) but I also loved the Princess & the Pea & Cinderella, if I have to pick one I’d have to go w/ SB. Thanks for offering the 3 free spots. I’ve posted to FB and signed up. I ❤️ what I’ve been seeing so far – so much talent!

  156. My Favorite fairy tale is The Little Mermaid. I have a vision of myself swimming and being able to breathe under water and pretended I was a mermaid as a child. It’s a great metaphor for diving dep into the emotional side of yourself. This course has always appealed to me, I just love all the courses you offer Tam, you are an amazing inspiration to us all. Hugs

  157. I have so many faves I think it’s hard to choose just one but if I do it would be Snow White. It feels so evil and gothic and scary but so magical at the same time

  158. So excited about the new classes! My favourite story was always Rumplestliskin because she outwitted the creep! Thank you for your light, love, and inspiration. Blessings

  159. Trying to remember which fairytale resonated the most with me as a child. It would have to be Little Red Riding
Hood followed closely by Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

  160. Can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to see the line up of artists and various styles Tam!

Favourite fairytale would have to be the Tangled version of Repunzel. There are some wonderful undertones in there of dealing with a narcissistic parent, finding freedom, Stockhom syndrome and also discovering ones self. ❤

  161. I’ve been a fan of yours for quite some time.. this whole thing sounds great. And, you’re getting some great feedback and engagement!! Good for you!!
I couldn’t pick just one — Omgosh. Let’s see I Love Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel & Gretal, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Little Princess by Frances Hodges Burnes, Cinderella,
Maybe, Alice in Wonderland the very most.

  162. My favourite faire tale or magical Story is Alice in Wonderland. I simply love all of the crazy caractors in the Story! When it comes to classic fairy tales, Frau Holle or Schneeweißchen und Rosenrot are my favourites, but i don’t know the english titeles…

  163. I love faery tales and legends. I like the Irish story of The children of Lir where the wicked stepmother turns her step children into swans. Also the tales of Fionn Mc Cool.

  164. I adore Beauty and the Beast! The tale is so remarkable how two “souls “, learn to love each other for who they really are regardless of their outside appearance. I love that! Such a great lesson to be learned ❤️??

  165. Oh my there are so many! How does one go about picking just one as each has it’s own life lesson to share but if I must pick only one The Little Mermaid, life always looks greener in someone else’s back yard. And the fact that she’s a mermaid doesn’t hurt either. Oh but then there’s Tinkerbell, I’ve always had a pull toward the magic of the fae with their iridescent wings and their magic fairy dust.
Is there a Happily ever after? Only if you BeLiEvE!

  166. My favorite fairy tale is Cinderella. I love the story combines hope, over coming hate, and of course knowing you have a fairy godmother watching over you. Plus, who wouldn’t want a pumpkin carriage.

  167. Tam I love all your classes and dream of being able to take this one so generator please pull my name out of the hat! Thank you Tam for LifeBook and all of your amazing classes.

  168. I think I am already signed up for the newsletter. One of my favorite fairy tales is Rumpelstiltskin. Thanks for the chance to win a class!

  169. My favorite is Alice in Wonderland, I love the Mad hatter, even the queen, the tea party, all… but I grew up with all fairy tales I adore them… love to be in magic lands, with fairy godmothers, fairytales listingen, reading. xxx thanks for this opportunity. I’d love to create again xx

  170. It’s hard to choose, but Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland are definitely my top two. I always loved the idea of discovering and exploring a magical land.

  171. I think as a child I always wanted to be rescued…to live happily ever after like Cinderella…even Snow White. When Once Upon A Time started changing the stories I thought it was brilliant. Today, I think we each live our own fairy tales if we’re just willing to look deep enough down to find that story and live it. Anything is possible… ~Namaste

  172. Tam, you inspire me so much… all the way over here in Kenya.
My favourite fairytale is Little red riding hood, followed closely by Hansel & Gretel. I am also a lover of the mystical and mythology, especially Celtic and Nordic mythology.
I would love to get the opportunity to win a place on Ever After. X

  173. Rapunzel and Goldilocks are 2 of my favorite childhood fairy tales. I love your classes but most of all love you for all your kind words and meditations…some nights when I’m to tired to paint I listen to your classes or your beautiful singing voice on some older you tube videos you had posted. Would love to see some new singing videos! Love and hugs!!!!! Kathy

  174. Thank you for this opportunity!!! I think my favorite story is Robin Hood & Maid Marion…or possibly, Beauty and the Beast. :) Robin Hood may not count….but I do love the lesson of the story!

    1. Hi Twiggy! It looks like your comment was stuck in the ‘spam box’ for some reason. I’ve ‘approved’ it now so it’s on the post! Much Kindness, Gracie x (your post says: ‘Thank you for this opportunity!!! I think my favorite story is Robin Hood & Maid Marion…or possibly, Beauty and the Beast. :) Robin Hood may not count….but I do love the lesson of the story!’).

  175. I shared and am already signed up for news letter. Cinderella has always been my favorite, but Alice in wonderland comes in at a close second:) and to let you know. You are and have giving me so much inspiration. Luv ya!!!

  176. Hi Tam,
I find it very hard to choose a favourite it is like asking which of my children I love the most, I just love the world of fairy tales and fantasy. I think if I was forced to choose it would be umm !!! maybe Alice in Wonderland and I absolutely adore Dragons and unicorns Just sayin…

  177. My earliest memory of a fairy tale is Little Red Riding Hood, and it was my Halloween costume when I was four, I think.
I’d love to win a seat in this course to develop my style. Thanks!

  178. Goldilocks, Rapunzel and little red riding hood are some of my favourite childhood fairy tales…. ooh and not to forget Alice in Wonderland too… would be awesome to win a spot in this fabulous course.

  179. Oh, but which one to choose? I think it would have to be 12 Dancing Princesses; adventure, romance, princesses and dancing; what’s not to love? xx

  180. I just realized that since I had such trouble with the comment form on the Freya post, that maybe it hadn’t worked on this one either. Seems I was right and it’s probably too late now :( oh well, trying anyhow

  181. I’m currently totally into the BBC series of Merlin again. I guess this is too late for the give-away. Would have been cool to enter and win. Thanks for organizing it anyway. Sending love to all – and may the winner enjoy it thoroughly.
